Fun Fact of the Day: Kelli O'Hara Returns to South Pacific
Tonight marks the return of three-time Tony nominee Kelli O'Hara to the Tony winning revival of South Pacific. She will continue in the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush until the production closes on August 22nd. O'Hara originated the role in 2008, but Nellie has been played by Laura Osnes since O'Hara left the production in 2009 to give birth to a son. South Pacific is produced by Lincoln Center and plays at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre. Although I did not see O'Hara in the role, (I saw Osnes,) this really is a fantastic production, not to mention your chance to see one of my top five all time favorite Broadway sopranos live. The August 18th performance will be broadcast live on PBS stations.
