2011 World Gymnastics Championships: Event Schedule

The US Women's team arrived in Tokyo earlier today for the World Gymnastics Championships and the competition gets underway officially next week. I always look forward to Worlds, but especially this year because it is the last chance to see how all the teams are shaping up before the 2012 Olympics. Universal Sports will live-stream the events (details to come) though we'll have to pay for it. Because the competition is in Tokyo, that means that those of us in the US will be watching in the wee hours of the morning. Below is the full event schedule converted to Eastern Standard Time.

2011 World Figure Skating Championships: Event Schedule

Alright so I know we are a month away from worlds but I couldn't resist writing my first post. I came across the event times on twitter recently so I converted them from Tokyo time to US Eastern Standard Time so we can prepare for the crazy hours that we'll be awake watching our favorite skaters battle the best in the world. I'll continue to write new posts in preparation for worlds including any news related to the skaters competing and the preview posts that I traditionally write for each event. Universal Sports has the rights to Worlds but as we know from Four Continents, they are less than reliable, but here's to hoping they'll get us live-streams of all of the events and hopefully even a little TV coverage. If not, I'll keep you posted on twitter (follow me @barbiebackstage ) for any other live-streams that I find.
